Parish Councillor ‘who fears for his safety’ alleges Parish Councillor
Forbes-Davison was heard by a number of players at a recent bowls match describing
and discussing the ‘Hall for Hemingbrough’
proposals.
The
anxious Councillor also alleges Forbes-Davison described how the proposals,
not yet seen by the public nor the Parish Council, include provision for Bowls,
Cricket and Football facilities so the existing Village Playing Fields,
owned by the ‘Hemingbrough Institute and Playing Fields’ Charity ‘ can be sold
for development.

DO THE MATHS – existing Hemingbrough Playing Field Site 11 acres = 4.5 hectares
with 19 dwelling per hectare (same density as approved School Road density) =
80 dwellings with 2.5 cars per dwelling = 200 cars. The Charity CAN sell the Playing Fields with
two thirds of residents assenting – amazing what active historians stumble
across in archives.
Councillor Forbes-Davidson
is a Director of the ‘Hall for Hemingbrough’
private limited company as is Council Vice-chairman Bob Procter.
The
Parish Council has responsibility for Village Halls and Leisure Centres despite Chairman Strelczenie saying 'Hall for Hemingbrough, it's nothing to do with the Parish Council!' The Parish Council has not seen the plans
discussed by Forbes-Davidson. The
Council has not debated the possible consequences of the village-altering scheme of Vice-chairman Procter. Chairman Strelczenie and Procter recently
removed the ‘Hall for Hemingbrough’ item from the Council Agenda. Why did they do that?
While
walking his dog, a gossip monger, braggart, drunk or tittle-tattler told Chilvers
his June Gagging was planned a month before when his questions at the Council
became ‘too awkward’.
